The Emirates Stadium hosted a huge London derby in the Premier League tonight as Arsenal comfortably beat their capital rivals in N7 desperate to breathe new life into their title battle with Manchester City. Three successive draws followed by a humbling at the Etihad and City’s latest win at Fulham left a major dent in the Gunners’ title ambitions, but they responded superbly against Chelsea tonight (Tuesday).
Martin Odegaard bagged two first half goals, with Gabriel Jesus adding a third before half-time to put Mikel Arteta’s side in firm control at the Emirates. Noni Madueke got a goal back for Chelsea on just his third league start for the club, but it wasn’t enough and Frank Lampard suffered a sixth successive defeat since returning to Stamford Bridge as interim manager
